Create Lasting Impact
Hello, Rotarians of District 5710!
October is Community Economic Development Month, (not just my favorite spooky holiday month!
) a chance to put Rotary's networking roots to work for the towns we love. When local businesses do well, our communities do well, and Rotarians are well placed to make those connections.
Easy ways to promote economic development in your club:
Classification talks: Ask members to share what they do, how their business or profession serves the community, and what they need to grow. You'll be surprised what you learn about the people sitting next to you each week!
Off-site club visits: Take a meeting on the road to a club member's business. It's a fun change of pace, it shows off local enterprise, and it builds pride in your community.
Networking coffee or happy hour: Invite Rotarians and non-Rotarians for a relaxed get-together. It builds business connections, and it's one of the easiest ways to introduce future members to Rotary.
