One of the best parts of serving as District Governor has been visiting clubs—meeting new Rotarians, connecting members with District Leadership, and experiencing the fun traditions that make each club unique!
I especially love our singing clubs with the songbooks—from “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” at the Lawrence Rotary Club to “Viva Rotary!” in Ottawa. Whether it’s Happy Bucks, Secret Superpowers, or another favorite tradition, clubs across our district are finding creative ways to engage members and energize meetings. The dates for volunteer participation at the Minneapolis Convention are May 26-31, 2028.
A few notes:
* Many volunteers will start their duties May 26, a day prior to the Convention’s start on May 27.
*Volunteers will need to register for the Convention in order to attend the sessions.
*Convention registration will start in June 2027.

Rotary International editor Etelka Lehoczky meets incarcerated women who are rebuilding their lives with the help of Intersection to Care, a unique program funded by The Rotary Foundation. Along the way, she realizes her assumptions about incarceration were very different from the reality.
Episode 2 - In the final episode of this two-part series, Etelka Lehoczky learns more about Intersection to Care, a program supported by The Rotary Foundation that helps incarcerated women in Kansas rebuild their lives. In this installment, Lehoczky learns more about the trauma that human trafficking inflicts and discovers how an art class in the jail offers a way forward.
