CHUCK UDELL
DISTRICT GOVERNOR-ELECT
Chuck Udell is an active member of the Leawood Kansas Rotary Club and served as Club President during Rotary year 2018-2019. During that year, the Leawood Club earned the Rotary Citation – with Gold Distinction. Prior to becoming President, he served as Club Foundation Chair and International Services Committee Chair. After his club presidency, he again became International Services Chair from 2019 to 2023.
Chuck is currently serving as District Governor Elect. Prior, he served his District as Membership Chair (2022-2024). Peace Fellowship Chair (2020-2023) Assistant Governor (2019-2022) District Trainer (2015-2018), member of Heartlands PETS Planning Committee (2015-2018 and 2023-2024), Paul Harris Society Chair (2013-2016), Inbound Panama VTT Chair (2014-2015).
Chuck has also served as Zone 25B & 29 House of Friendship Chair from 2019 to 2021.
Chuck is a 2022 recipient of Rotary International’s Service Above Self Award as well as being recognized as his Club’s Rotarian of the Year in 2017 and the Rotary International Avenues of Service Citation in 2015.
Professionally, Chuck was a senior partner with the Essential Action Design Group until he retired in 2020. He focused on improving performance and profitability for clients through improved sales, marketing and leadership development solutions. Part of his client engagement includes developing and implementing Kirkpatrick evaluation plans. Previously, Chuck was employed by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association, Marion Merrill Dow and Mobil Chemical Company. Prior to his civilian experience, he served as a U.S. Air Force
officer.
Being a Rotarian is very important to Chuck. He absolutely enjoys being able to serve and help others improve their lives as well as the amazing Rotary friendships he developed around the world.
